A PIECE OF THE MEDITERRANEAN
Café & Events
Our interest for south european living made us choose this Italian inspired house. The renovation of the house and garden also had a distinct Italian flavor.
A consequence of this is the construction of a "Mediterranean Room" in the garden. To find good quality Mediterranean plants at reasonable prices, we had to go southward searching for our procurement ambitions.
We bought more plants than we needed so we offered them to friends and acquaintances. This developed into a more outgoing and public commercial activities for sale of Mediterranean plants and today we also sell pots and furniture.
As complement to the garden rooms we have built an orangery whith a café and tavern. In two rental houses we can accommodate our guests.
The idea for the name "Villa Famiglia" came from the youngest member of the family, the then 12-year-old daughter My.
From the beginning the name of the farm was "Östergård" and was formerly one of the larger farms in Vassmolösa. It includes three houses, storage- and economy-buildings, an orangery, a stable and of course the garden with its different rooms.
The Famiglia family are Annelie, Per-Olof, daughter My and to some extent the two dogs Charlie and Lucy and the horse Bolsjoj.
